New Award celebrates young people’s response to COVID crisis

In this year when so many have faced tremendous challenges, Million Minutes has added a new category to its Celebrating Young People Awards, with the support of Cardinal Nichols. The Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Award will enable schools, parishes and communities to recognise the amazing actions of young people (aged 11-25) in their communities in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Applications are open on a rolling basis and all who are nominated will be considered for a small grant (£50 – £300), to enable the continuation of their common good efforts across their local community. Successful recipients of the grant (on condition that they meet our grant criteria) will be presented with the award from within their local community. All recipients of the award will also receive a certificate of achievement from Cardinal Nichols. Award recipients will also have the opportunity to benefit from our Young Leaders’ network, which will be launched in 2021. We are especially keen to receive nominations for young women and other under-represented groups of young people.
