NYS resources are for life, not just for this Sunday!

So – I imagine by now, even the most laid-back of you have finished all your preps for National Youth Sunday – but don’t forget that the new website will still be there after 24 November, and its resources are valuable all year round.

Take another look and keep going back – there will be material to help you in so many situations – like the video above from Robert Madu.

Have a great National Youth Sunday 2019!

Fundraiser launched on NYS hopes to bring Christus Vivit to life around UK

On the Feast of Christ the King, National Youth Sunday, the Synod Fruits project launches its first fundraiser to help bring Pope Francis’s message from Christus Vivit to life in exhibitions offered to Cathedrals around the country.

The team at Synod Fruits hope funds raised will enable them to exhibit portraits of twelve young  saints, paired with extracts from Christus Vivit, in Cathedrals and city centre churches around the country in a bid to bring the richness of Pope Francis’s message to more people. The portraits were created by young Catholic artist John Paul de Quay.

Cardinal’s address to young Catholics for National Youth Sunday

In the lead-up to National Youth Sunday on the Feast of Christ the King, 24 November, Cardinal Vincent Nichols has sent a video message encouraging young people to feel a part of the Church, reminding them of their significance, and urging them to use their unique and valuable skills to be “digital disciples”, taking the Christian message into the modern world.

This year, preparations for National Youth Sunday have been led by the Catholic Youth Ministry Federation, (CYMFed), with youth ministers creating resources for use by other youth ministers, with the theme of “Significance”. The Cardinal’s message was filmed as one of a range of materials now available on the new website for use in four broad settings: parishes, schools, families and by individuals. See our resources section for more about this). Read more
