300+ headed for Taizé Hidden Treasure in Birmingham

So far, just over 300 participants, from 17 different countries have signed up for Hidden Treasure, the young adult Taizé Weekend Meeting in Birmingham, 28 April – 1 May. If you haven’t booked, DO IT NOW!The most exotic registration has come from a youth group in Kuusamo, a small town in northern Finland, on the edge of the Arctic Circle.

A modest financial contribution towards food and travel is required, but if you book by the end of February, you can save a bit on this, so book ASAP if you haven’t already! Detailed information on the weekend, including costs, can be found here.
Musicians from Changing Tunes (pictured above) and ex-prisoners who have participated in the music groups  they run in prisons will be present during the Birmingham Hidden Treasure weekend. They will contribute both to the One Day Programme with 16-18 year-olds, and also the “Prisons and Community” workshop. Read about their work on the Taizé website.

The community in Taizé is looking forward to welcoming some new groups with summer,  including the ecumenical schools pilgrimage from the Anglican and Catholic dioceses of Liverpool.
