Catholic Youth Ministry organisations have responded to the turmoil of the past few months by creating online discussions and opportunities for learning, which have been appreciated by everyone who took part. Now, a new online Facebook community has been created through a collaboration by Million Minutes, CYMFed and other Catholic organisations titled Catholic Youth Ministry in England and Wales, to continue and develop on those discussions. Schools across England and Wales are invited to come together on 10 December 2020 for the next CAFOD National Assembly. The times of the assemblies are 9:30 am for Primary Schools and 10:000 am for Secondary.
Quo Vadis, a new programme from Kenelm Youth Trust (KYT) aims to equip secondary schools to support the mental health and wellbeing of their students.
KYT will train and support school staff in delivering their 12-session Catholic mental health resource, and guiding students in using the accompanying journal, facilitate Mental Health First Aid training, and provide mentoring training for staff and peer mentors in schools. Read more

In addition to loads of new resources, in the spirit of coming together, the youth ministry workers on CYMFed’s National Youth Sunday team have created a series of live streams in the lead up to NYS, a novena to Christ the King, and an exciting National Youth Funday programme that schools and groups can join on Friday 20 November. The Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Award will enable schools, parishes and communities to recognise the amazing actions of young people (aged 11-25) in their communities in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
