Women’s World Day of Prayer 2017 is on Friday 3rd March. It’s one of the biggest ecumenical prayer events worldwide, and each year, Christian women from a different country write a prayer service for a new theme. This year’s theme , ‘Am I being unfair to you’ is about justice, and was inspired by the parable of the labourers in the vineyard. The order of service for 2017 was written by the women of the Philippines. Read more
On Friday 10th March at St James Picadillly at 6;45 pm, one of the brothers from the Taizé community will lead a song practice, and at 7:15, Rev Lucy Winkett, rector of the church, will give a meditation as an introduction to the prayer around the cross.
